Great food, music, wine tasting, and a historical discussion on the African American Resort built in 1929, recently became one of only thirteen heritage areas in the State, certified by the Maryland Heritage Area Authority.

Raising the awareness of the historical significance of Eagle Harbor, MD, and the role it played during segregation and the Jim Crow era. This resort is a treasure, “Paradise on the Patuxent.” Help us relive its heritage by joining us for this fun, festive event sponsored by the Vibrant Health & Wellness Foundation, Non-profit 501 (c) 3 organization, helping communities to thrive.
Enjoy this spectacular event featuring trail walks, music, food, wine tasting, and hear historical discussions on the Town history, all on the Paradise on the Patuxent. So, come on out to get a glimpse of history while enjoying the great outdoors of Southern Maryland.
This event's primary goal is to raise the awareness of a community that was once a thriving resort for African Americans to live and visit. Our goal is maintaining the deep heritage and history of the town of Eagle Harbor along in Prince George's County's waterways. Your donations and contributions will further help our mission of empowering communities for improved health, well-being, and leveraging nature for healing.
